Triangles	The proof of the following theorems is removed: If a perpendicular is drawn from the vertex of a right angle to the hypotenuse of a right triangle, then the triangles on each side of the perpendicular are congruent to the whole triangle and similar to each other. The ratio of the areas of two similar triangles is equal to the ratio of the squares of their corresponding sides. In a right-angled triangle, the square on the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides. In a triangle, if the square of one side is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides, then the angles opposite to the first side are right angles.
